She’s been spreading lies too saying that out two year old daughter Hanna was adopted because we didn’t tell anyone when I got pregnant with her and gave birth to her because we wanted to try living in Sweden which didn’t work out so we moved to the UK where his family lives when Hanna was a year old. She’s also been spreading lies saying that we can’t concieve naturally because we aren’t always having sex like she is (she and her current boyfriend at the time snuck upstairs when we invited them and her kids for dinner to have sex.) just because we aren’t like her because we don’t believe our daughter or any child should be expose to their parents having sex when they are around.

She sounds like a taker and there is no way you can make her happy.
You have your hands full as it is and she has no right to make any demands of any one.
Confront her in front of the family and let her have it all.
Don’t worry about hurting her feelings as she has no sense of decency anyway.

It sounds like your sister is sort of slutty and has no respect for you or your husband. On top of that she is materialistic and self centered. If it were me I would have a couples meeting, both of you and both of them, and let them have it. Tell her you don’t appreciate her lifestyle of using you, disrespecting you, and your home. Tell her that at this time in your life your triplets are your priority, and you have a lot of headaches coming down the road, youdon’tt need her issues complicating your already insane life. A good friend of mine has a 4 year old and then 2 year old triplets. Its crazy but she loves them all and is very happy. But three babies at one time is very hard and the last thing you need is any extra stress in your life. basically tell her to start thinking about other people, or start spending a lot more time taking care of her own kids without your help. Honestly, your on the verge of being so busy you wont have any time for anyone else. Congrats on your pregnancy, happy Mothers Day, and good luck!

Sounds like to me, you & I ended up with some snotty, bitchy, selfish sister in laws I ve got a couple. Who cares what she says bottom line she is jealous! Thats the only reason girls like that open there mouths to gossip dont let it bother you ohhh and as for her gift 4 the shower buy her the ugliest outfit you can find

I think baby showers are amazing, people usually have them once they’ve found out the sex (if they are finding out) and once they’ve figured out what they need for the baby xX

i live in the uk, and am having a baby shower next week. is the first time i will have been to one lol. ill be 37 weeks nearly when i have mine,and just getting friends and family round for food really lol. am guessing people will bring gifts for baby?? have no idea whats going to happen really lol

Because at baby showers we talk about some things that little kids probably shouldn’t hear (duh), it’s not for you it’s for the mom to be and her infant to be. I mean, if you want your little girl to cry you could bring her, but at the one’s I’ve attended it’s grown up talk not appropriate for children, and really not for men either.

Ya know I kinda agree with ya! But I think some showers are a little too delicate and fancy for kids running around. I’ve been to lots of showers with it in someone’s living room or backyard and it’s more like a party with everyone there and kids running around. That’s how I like ‘em, cos I like taking my kids with me!

But some showers have been at restaurants and we’re all seated and it seems kinda stiff and proper. For these I wouldnt’ wanna take my kids cos I’d be too worried they would mess up something and I wouldn’t get a chance to relax and watch the pregnant mom open her gifts. JMO though.

I don’t like girls time either trashing my husband, I”d rather do something fun…….like dinner, drinks, talking about how great the hubby is, and then out for dancing! That sounds awesome, wish I could do that tonight!

Its just a disguise for the prego mother to be the center of attention, and moan about being prego and stuff.

Thats why no one likes them, same concept as weddings.

We have them all the time in the states and I hate them. I will usually send a gift but always try to make other plans. Playing stupid baby games and oohing and aweing over everything is not appealing to me at all.

Baby showers in the United States are typically given to a FIRST time mom by a family member or friend who organizes all of it. I had one thrown by my step-mom and & i am very thankful I did! We got a ton of nice gifts and my son is 5 months old & I still havent had to buy any diapers b/c we got so many.

I did receive gifts from my close friends/co-workers/family when my son was born. They are SUPPOSED to be a fun stress free party to celebrate the upcoming birth of ur first born! We had no games at my shower. It was at a really nice restaurant and we just had lunch, cake, and gifts!

I’m always amazed by the drama caused by some peoples baby showers. It seems so silly, but I think those situations are few and far between, not normal.

Not everyone has a baby shower here in the US. I know a few mothers who have never had one. Lots of people also give a small gift when the baby is born, although not everyone does that.

OMG there are so many good ones ! Guess the baby food .. have each person take a small bit in there mouth and guess what baby food it is….. Smash candy bars in diapers and have them smell the diapers and guess the candy bar.. Have the small 4oz. bottles and fill them with juice or something and see who drinks it the fastest. Get toilet paper and have each guest un roll the tp until they think it is big enough to fit around the expectant moms belly whoever gets the closest wins. You can do baby items from A to Z : give each person a paper with the letters A Thur Z then have them list baby items for each letter who ever gets the most wins !

Ask your friend if her sister has a Baby Registry anywhere. That way you can check the listing and be sure that you’re not duplicating anything.

You will receive gifts and money for your new baby when it is born. People, by that I mean friends and family will come bearing gifts when they visit. Very few people will pop in empty handed for the first visit whether with a wrapped present or money. Don’ be offended if elderly visitors want to press money in the baby’s hand either as it was an old way of doing things.

So dont forget to open simple savings account for your new baby.

Let people give what they want willingly please dont arrange a shower which is a very American idea. It makes people feel uncomfortable about having to give and people who give then will not give later on.

We arranged our own. Three people claimed they were throwing us one…almost 9 months later we still hadnt had one. So we prepared it ourselves. We had it at a park, we had sandwiches, snacks, and of course cake. It went great! We had a co-ed shower because I have 4 brothers (no sisters). We played all kinds of games..that my DAD actually thought up and brought lol.

Most of mine and my husbands family live far away and would not be able to make another trip when the baby was born. It turned out to be more of a family reunion of two families.

I’d stay indoors, but if you must venture outside, you need to purchase a heavy duty umbrella. Baby showers are very messy.

You play games, eat yummy food, laugh a lot and open presents! Google baby showers online to get ideas. You’re not typically supposed to plan your own though. One of your friends or family members should take care of it. Have fun!
