How many easter eggs do you give your children? And what do you do on the day of easter?

My mum used to get me about 5 easter eggs and hide them round the house in microwaves etc. I loved it.

I set aside one room for each child and put like ten plastic eggs in each room plus a chocolate bunny. The eggs are filled with little candies. They love it!

If you teach your children about the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus, why don’t they think Jesus is just another fairy tale? Do “real” Christians actually let their children believe these tales in association with a religious holiday? Incredible!

My little boy is 4 in may and we usually buy him 1 as my husband comes from a lrge family and my little boy has 9 aunties and 7 uncles so you can imagine he gets alot. We don’t really make a big deal of it really we just hide the eggs around the huse and let him find them. If its nice we then g to the park. Quite boring actually!!!

I’m trying my best to eat healthily but for Easter mum bought me a really smashing looking Easter Egg which is pink, drizzled with white chocolate with marshmallows and real strawberry pieces on top.. it’s called an Easter Sundae Egg by James Chocolates. It doesn’t have the amount of calories anywhere on it, though So I was wondering if any of you guys knew how many there are.

I even went to their website and no nutritional information was there at all. I’d think it has a lot of calories, so just eat a bit at a time. it’ll last longer that way, too.

For goodness sake,forget the calories for once and enjoy it,unless there is a medical reason why you have to count calories.

from the way you spelled “molds,” you might be in the UK, so my answer won’t help:) … Walmart, Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, Target, Williams-Sonoma or any kitchen store should have molds for egg cakes and egg cupcakes. Jell-o has a mold that you can make Jello wigglers in egg shapes. Maybe they have a website that you can still order them….

If you have access to the plastic egg shaped women’s stockings, they can be used. Trim the chocolate carefully after is hardens and use a small amount of coco butter on the shape to allow for release. The easiest thing though is to buy the mold because they are more pliable and release easier.

Maybe the plastic hollow eggs, but I don’t know if they can handle the heat of the chocolate.

In many countries, lamb is traditional. Here in the United States, ham is the traditional meat. Asparagus is usually the vegetable, along with deviled eggs as a side dish. (It gives us something to do with all the colored easter eggs.) I usually make potato salad, but my mother always made au gratin potatoes. I’d bake some kind of bread too. Good luck with dinner and I hope you have a Happy Easter!

Which websites or places would allow me to order easter eggs from either u.k- R.O. Ireland (I know Thornton’s does but charges £11 for delivery) Any suggestions of any online stores I could order from Ireland itself? Nothing too deer Has to suit children.

How about a supermarket site – most big ones like Tesco and M&S will deliver in other countries as they have stores there. Their P&P is usually cheap too…

We know that it was the ‘resurrection’ of Jesus, but the word Easter, and the chocolate eggs and chicks – where did they come from? Anything to do with Easter Island and the yearly rituals they do in swimming to the local island to gather eggs?

Easter is the celebration of the passover stuck on top of ancient spring and fertility celebrations.
The sacrifice bit ( Christ) is passover, the idea of eggs and chicks is fertility and re-birth, and the chocolate is commercial nonsense intended by the manufacturers to make themselves lots of extra profits.
