If she’s 4… I would just keep it very, very simple and use things like an oatmeal cylinder and toilet paper tubes… construction paper, paint, yarn, buttons- anything you find around the house… and have fun with it.
There are some cute ideas here:http://www.dltk-kids.com/animals/dinosau…
For stability use chicken wire. You can shape it easily WEAR GLOVES. Link the pieces together with wire. Apply papier mache on the frame.Use wood glue for strenght.Allow ample time for drying. Its easily painted.Have fun.
I’d make an armiture (frame) out of wire like a coathanger and cover it with paper mache or modelling clay.
Bend the hanger (or 2 or 3 depending on the size you want) into a roungh dinosaur shape. Brontosaurous should be pretty easy.
Use wallpaper paste or the flour method with strips of newspaper to make paper mache and let it dry thouroughly then paint.
Or you could use modelling clay or make your own dough out of salt flour and water in equal parts. You can dye the dough with food dye and it’s non-toxic. You can press items like buttons, macaroni, rocks etc for texture, eyes, scales etc. Once the dough is dry, you can jazz it up with paint, glitter, etc.
Enjoy!
i would try paper machie but it can be messy maybe you could cut cardboard and bend, fold, and tape it to the design of the dino that you want if you want to make sure it doesnt bold put small blown up ballons between the cardboard.
Make dinosaurs with paper mache (newspaper, flour, salt and water)
Popsicle sticks and foam. Don’t forget tape and glue.
