Hi there!
I have one of those folding tables with the thick, hard plastic tops for my work area. I got it at Office Max. At the back of the table, I have multi-drawer cabinets from the Container Store, to store my beads. I have Really Useful Boxes from Office Depot to store my seed beads, wire, misc. tools I don’t use very often, other stringing materials, plastic storage bags, etc., etc. And then to hold all my tools, findings and stringing materials I use regularly, I have a toolbox with tiny Sterilite baskets in the bottom.
And one of these days, I’m going to get some elfa shelving to put above my table, so I can take all those storage boxes off it and actually use it.

Without knowing what kind of jewellery you make, ie; beading or soldering silver jewellery, it is hard to suggest something suitable?
If you make silver jewellery, you will need a specialized work station with vice, and a sawing V tab so that you can saw through the silver wire. Also you will need a tray for your jewelery working tools, such as pliers etc.
You will also need a soldering workstation to accommodate the gas soldering equipment also.
If you are making bead jewellery, then a selection of see through drawers for different sized beads is a must for seeing just what you need, these can be stored on top or beneath the work station?
You would need something to hold your pliers and findings plus some assorted wires.
I suggest you get a decent sized work station with lots of space to work, and accommodate various trays/boxes that your jewellery making needs
You will already have a god idea of the range of equipment needs you will need to accommodate on your work station, so it is a good idea to get one with lots of storage space underneath and a few drawers built into it..

My friend has a big plastic set on the floor and it has wheels storage box with clear drawers for storage. And a little storage box with little drawers for her beads, she groups them by color. The hardware store has stuff like that, check it out.
Get a wall board from the hardware store with hooks on it for finished products, so you can hang them up out of the way so they will not get tangled. You could hang your tools there, too.
I use those plastic storage boxes with dividers, I keep all the findings of one color in each box, I have my gold, and silver boxes. And I will soon have one for copper and odd color findings.
Then I use the boxes to store leftover beads. I use baggies to store repair projects, to keep from losing anything, and I use the baggies for proposed projects, too.
I have 3 bead boards, and the room to leave them out, to wait for inspiration to strike, and to always have an emergency one for a fast project.
I keep all my tools in one box, and keep them at hand, close to me, same with my findings boxes.
If you want to get fancier and have shelves, or have a closed cabinet with shelves inside so you can put your stuff in and close the door, that is great. if you need space for packaging and wrapping finished products, or an area and storage to ship things, or to keep presentation boxes, keep that in mind.
Go online to find models, and check out Martha Stewart, either her show or the website, she has got a custom craft area. I hate her, LOL. My crafts are all stored fairly well, but some are in one closet, some in another, some in an old matal kitchen cabinet, and some in an old stand up metal cabinet. wish I had a big room for it all. And my sewing stuff is all separate, and on a different floor!
