With past roommates, our living arrangements and attitude towards each other had almost a business quality relationship…I’d like to change that as much as possible. How can I help create an atmosphere that is more tight knit and close, like a family?

if u want a more family like dynamics you can try to make time to hang out with them the more time spend with them the more you will have a a bound with them. try things like movies, going out to eat, hang out with each other more. keep doing that and you 2 or who ever many are there will become closer
