   As a business owner myself, I think that you are doing a very smart thing that will save you a lot of time and money in the long run. There are tons of sites out there that claim to have amazing access to various information, such as social security numbers, but I can tell you from using these sites that a lot of them are bogus and do not live up to their hype. Dr. Amit Mehta’s site is by far and away the best site I have used.
   Their site will offer you a great look into the lives of your employees. You will be able to find out if they have criminal records, if they are living illegally in this country, if they have spousal support payments that need to be made, if they are who they say they are. There are so many of my colleagues who have been duped by their employees and if they would have done a check on them, they would have never been taken in the first place.
   Good luck in your new venture and I hope you swim and do not sink like so many other new businesses out there. Looking into your employees’ pasts is a great step in preventing that from happening to you.
