I'm pretty sure she said that she'd had a visit from the Council's Food Health Dept. For her, there was no problem with it being an 'ordinary' kitchen. There may be exceptions to this depending on the type of cake/dessert(s). Fresh cream/ use of raw egg white (unpasturised) would have a higher risk if not stored correctly.
