   After extensively researching all anti-virus products I can say the best anti-virus is Kaspersky, though NOD32 is better for computer experts. Kaspersky is the best all-round anti-virus program. NOD32 runs faster and has less software conflicts but as a consequence the user interface is difficult to use.
   The most popular free anti-virus programs (AVG and Avast) have poor detection rates (82.82%, 87.46% respectively). Norton is notoriously bloated and takes forever to perform full systems scans.
   It has been proven ESET NOD32 and Kaspersky are better than the best sellers Norton and McAfee (see the consumersearch source for reviews of the top anti-virus products). See recent tests for yourself at av-comparatives.org.
   Trend Micro Antivirus is a viable alternative if you’re having a lot of trouble with software conflicts. Trend Micro rounds out the top three.

   I agree with Samuel that Nod 32 is best. I’ve used a few and Norton slows the computer way down.
   There are lots of good free anti-virus out there. Try googling for some.

   None, as every system has parts that work better than others.

   Norton is almost as good.
   I understand ‘Pc Tools Internet security’ is also good.
   I use Norton internet security 2008 (would not recommend 360 as its slower) with some other elements. I would suggest Kaspersky, but can be expensive. I did see it for sale in ‘staples’ for £20 for three licenses (can use on three pc’s), but think this special price is no longer avalible. If I see it again I will get this one next time.
   McAfee takes time to fig out.
   Note, to get the best prices, I find waiting for special offers and sharing the licenses with others works out very good value. Buying direct is expensive way to get the software.
